Bill of Lading - The solution by Trustcopy

The TrustDelivery solution focuses on protecting the Bill of Lading paper documents against forgeries, improve the overall handling of current processes involved in generating the document and using the benefits of electronic document workflows to keep the paper document relevant, efficient and cost-effective.

It is a web-based Bill of Lading solution that allows shipping companies to interact with their customers across the Internet, accomplish online document processing, delivery and finally high security printing of paper originals at their customer's site.

Our solution reduces the turn-around time and operational costs from handling and courier costs of physical paper documents. Customers can now print original documents at their premises with our unique technologies, and yet allow shipping companies to retain control on what is printed on these documents centrally.

These printed documents are also protected with Trustcopy's anti-forgery and tamper-evident optical watermarks, further enhancing the authenticity of the documents.

Anti-forgery

Forgeries and tampered copies of Bill of Lading are not uncommon in the shipping industry today.

TrustDelivery addresses these issues with Trustcopy's unique optical watermark technologies. Such optical watermarks will be dynamically generated with selected content embedded and printed on each document original to protect the Bill of Lading from unauthorised alteration or forgery.

On a TrustDelivery printed Bill of Lading, embedded content in the optical watermarks are not readable and may appear as a grayed box or as part of a logo. Only using Trustcopy's optical key, can the information embedded within be revealed.

Although, the visible parts of the Bill of Lading may be altered, it is not possible to alter those embedded in the optical watermarks. This results in a situation where verficiation can be achieved by comparing the visible contents on the Bill of Lading against those embedded in the optical watermarks.

As the optical watermarks contain dynamic content from individual documents and printable only by TrustDelivery, fraud cannot be conducted even if genuine blank Bill of Lading forms are obtained, as the corresponding optical water marks cannot be generated.

Multiple levels of access

With Trustcopy's ability to embed 20 layers of independently encrypted information into a single optical watermark, different information can be embedded into the watermark for different parties in the shipping network and access can be controlled to the information by use of different keys issued by the shipping company.

Field authentication and cost-effective Deployment

All of TrustDelivery's embedded content in the optical watermarks can be verified and authenticated in the field without special training, any software or hardware. What is required is a special optical key encoded with the right decryption key and an optical key can be made to the size and thickness of a business-card.

This allows ease of verification, that can be accomplished easily and is a cost-effective solution that can be implemented throughout the entire shipping chain and network without substantial cost or training.
